a goods train is 800m long and it is running at a constant speed of 60km/h if it takes 60s to pass the bridge then calculate the length of the bridge [the ans is 1600 but i don't know the procedure ............is there any smart guy that can help ......with a relevant logic]

So as u said time is 120

Then

800m + bridge length =50/3 x120

800m+bridge length =50x40

Bridge length =2000-800=1200m

I checked it with 2-3 method I m getting this ans hope it will help you in case of any doubt comment below

Answer:

200 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : a goods train is 800 m long and it is running at a constant speed of 60 km/h

To Find :If it takes 60 s to pass the bridge then calculate the length of the bridge

Solution:

Let x be the length of the bridge

Length of train = 800 m

So, total distance traveled by train = 800+x

Speed = 60 km/hr = 60 \times \frac{5}{18} =\frac{300}{18} m/s

Time = 60 s

Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time}

\frac{300}{18}= \frac{800+x}{60}

\frac{300}{18} \times 60 =800+x

1000 =800+x

200=x

Hence the length of the bridge is 200 m.
