Your Solution:

Percentage% = (Marks obtained/Total Marks) × 100

Percentage mark of A = (20/50) × 100

= 20 × 2

= 40%

Percentage mark of B = (10/50) × 100

= 10 × 2

= 20%

∴ The highest percentage scorer is of A than B.

I hope you got it.

Given:

Total marks = 50

Marks scored by A = 20

Marks scored by B = 10

To Find:

Who got more marks using percentage

Solution:

Using the percentage formula -

% =  Marks obtained by student /Total Marks  × 100

Calculating percentage marks of A -

 = 20/50 × 100

= 2000/ 50

= 40

Similarly, calculating percentage marks of B -

= 10/50 × 100

= 1000/ 50

= 20

Thus, the percentage of A is 40% and if B is 20%

Answer: More marks were received by A
