Step-by-step explanation:

(a)

total profit = 1500*12 = 18000

total loss = 2050*8 = 16400

as profit is more than the loss

he gets a profit of = 18000 - 16400 = 1600 Rs

(b)

let number of wheat bags be x

x * 12 is the total profit

2400 * 8 is the total loss

given porfit = loss

12 *x = 2400*8

12*x = 19200

x = 19200 / 12

x = 1600

he must sell 1600 bags of wheat
