take granddaughter's age as x.
According to given conditions,
54 + x = 10x
10x-x= 54
9x=54
x=54/9
x=6…

So granddaughter is 6 yrs old and granpa is 60 years old…

Let daughter's present age be x year

Grandfather's age 10x

10x = x + 54
10x - x = 54
9x = 54
x =  \frac{54}{9}
x = 6
Daughter's present age is 6 years
Grandfather's present age is 10 x 6
=60 years
