hii friend
let the granddaughter's age be x years . therefore grandfather's age will be 10x
according to the question
grandfather's age = granddaughter's age + 54
10x = x + 54
transposing x to L.H.S, we obtain:
10x - x = 54
9x = 54
x = 6
granddaughter's age = x years = 6 years
grandfather's age = 10x years = (10 x 6) = 60 years
hope u got it
pls mark it as brainliest answer plss

let the age of granddaughter be x.
then the age of grandfather be 10x.

given,
age of grandfather is 54 years more than the granddaughter

ATQ
10x=x+54.
10x-x=54
9x=54
x=54/9
x=6

therefore age of granddaughter=6years.
the age of grandfather =10×6=60years
