Area of plot= 100*80m
=8000 sq. m
Area of road parallel to length = 5*100
=500 sq. m
Area of road parallel to breadth =5*80
=400 sq. m
Area of part where two roads intersect =5*5
=25sq. m
We need to subtract area of part where two roads intersect as it is counted twice
Area of road with counting intersecting areas twice= 500*400
=200000sq. m
Actual area of roads= 200000-25sq. m
=199975 sq. m (Ans.)
