A grassy plot measures 80m by 60m. From the centre of each side, a path 4m wide goes across to the centre of the opposite side. Find the area of the paths.​

the area of total path =(width of path)(length of the park + breadth of the park -width of path)

=w(l+b-w)

Area of the total path=w(l+b-w)

=5(100+80-5)

=5×175

=875 square meters
