Green Environment means a lot of plantation and vegetation around us in the neighbourhood, country wide and worldwide. Trees and plants with fresh green leaves are symbols of vibrant life, freshness, usefulness, progress, self reliance and fresh energy.
In addition to appearing pleasant to the eye plants and trees absorb the harmful Carbon Dioxide and give us fresh Oxygen. If trees do not generate oxygen, then on Earth there will not be much oxygen left for us to breathe. They absorb some noise too. The plants hold soil and the nutrients in the soil. They recycle energy and nutrients. Trees give us healthy food that we need with proteins, minerals, vitamins enzymes etc. Plants are the food for animals which many non-vegetarians eat.
Thus plants promote health of human beings and animals. Thus a green environment is a requirement for good health.
