transportation. Find the S. P. of one bag of rice so as to make the gain of 10%.
A shopkeeper bought a washing machine for 9,200 and sold it at a gain of 12%​

Question

A grocer bought 50 bags of rice at the rate of Rs. 500 per bag. He spent Rs. 2500 on transpartation. Find the S.P of 1 bag of rice to make the gain of 10%?

Given

Cost price of 50 bags =₹2500

Cost incurred on transportation=₹2500

To Find

selling price of 1 bag of rice

Total cost of 50 bags of rice =50×500=₹25000

Now,add overhead expense on total cost

=>₹25000

=>(+)2500

________

\:\:\:27500

Question said make gain of 10%

so,10% of 27500 is 2750

Add :27500

\:\:\:\:\:\:\:(+)2750

________

\:\:\:\:30250

________

Now ,divide by 50

30250÷50=605

∴Selling price of 1 bag of rice is ₹605
