Answer:

Rs.700

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A grocer had a sale of rs. 600, rs. 700, rs. 800, rs. 700 and rs. 700 for 5 consecutive months.

To Find:  what is the average sale?

Solution:

Sum of all amount of sales = 600+700+800+700 +700

                                           = Rs.3500

We are also given that the sale was for 5 consecutive months.

Average = \frac{\text{sum of amounts}}{\text{total no. of months }}

              = \frac{3500}{5}

              = 700

Hence the average sale was Rs.700
