40 men can complete a work in 150 days. It means the work requires 40*150 = 6000 man-days.

After 10 days, the work completed to date is 40*10 = 400 man-days. What remains is 6000–400 = 5600 man-days of input.

If 30 members join, there will be a total of 40+30 = 70 men. So the time taken to complete the remaining work is 5600 man-days/70 men = 80 days.

Hence the work gets completed in 90 days from the start.
