Given that Total men = 210 and they had provisions for 60 days.

Therefore the total available food = 210 * 60

                                                         = 12600

Given that After 10 days, 60 men left.

Then the food consumed for 10 days = 210 * 10

                                                              = 2100.

Now, the available food = 12600 - 2100

                                        = 10500.

Remaining men = 210 - 60

                          = 150.

Therefore the remaining food lasts for 10500/150 = 70 days.

Answer:

The remaining food would last for 60-10=50 days. But 60 men left.

Number of remaining men= 210-60 = 150

For 210 men food last for 60 days. Suppose for 150 men, food lasts for x days

Less men more days, so it is a case of inverse variation.

Ratio of no. Of persons = Inverse ratio of no. Of days

=>210:150=x:50

=>150×x=210×50

=>(210×50)/150=x

=>70

I.e 70 days answer
