A group of aliens set on a journey from
point A to point B, 1500 km apart, of a
planet by a super-jet. Considering the
planet has an atmosphere, the
scheduled flying time is 2 hours and 30
min travelling against the direction of
the wind. It is known that with every
100 feet increase in altitude, the speed
of the wind increases by 10 kmph. The
super-jet covered the first half of the
distance at an altitude of 30600 feet
and the wind speed was 900 kmph, 200
kmph quicker than what they had
accounted for. If the aliens manage to
keep up to the schedule by flying at a
lower altitude, then the altitude at
which the super-jet flew for the rest of
its journey was?
