A group of boys in a camp wanted to set up a tent. The slanted sides are both 2.5 metres long and the bottom of the tent is 3 metres across. What is the height of the tent, in metres, at its tallest point?

slant height =l= 2.5 m

Radius=r=3m

height=h

We know,

l^2=h^2+r^2

2.5^2=h^2+3^2

(25/10)^2= h^2+9/4

h^2 =625/100-9/4

h=√ 625-225/100

h=√400/100

h=20/10

h=2m
