Answer:12

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total no. of persons be X

Then,

1/3×X play tennis

1/2×X play softball

And rest 6 play cricket

Now, adding all the kids playing different sports we shall get the no. Of persons which we have assumed X.

1/3X + 1/2X +6 = X

=) (2X +3X +36)/6 = X

Now by cross multiplication,

5X+ 36 = 6X

=) (6-5)X = 36

X= 36

Next, we know 1/3 of the total children play tennis so,

1/3×36 = 12

Hence, the answer is 12.
