A group of people move a large box that weighs 90 Newtons, 10 meters in 20 seconds, how much power was used?

Weight of the box = 90 N

Displacement = 10 m

Time = 20 sec

To find:

The total amount of power used.

Solution:

Calculating the total work done by people -  

Work done = Total Force x Total Displacement

Substituting the values -

= 90 x 10

= 900

 Now,

Power used = Work done/Time elapsed

= 900/20

= 90/2

= 45  

Answer: The total amount of power used is 45 watts
