Apple chooser = x/3
banana chooser = x/4
orange chooser = 2x/5
so left are lichi chooser = x - (x/3 + x/4 +2x/5)= x/60
and lichi chooser = 3
so, x/60 = 3
⇒x =180
Apple chooser = 60
banana chooser = 45
orange chooser =72
lichi chooser = 3
number of total people in group is 180

people who chose orange=2x/5
people who chose litchi=3

x/3+x/4+2x/5+3=x
(20x+15x+24x)/60+3=x
59x/60+3=x

therefore there were 180 people in the group
