Given :  Bar Graph of survey of common form of transportation .There are 275 employees at Clyde Marketing.

To find : what is the most reasonable estimate for the number of Clyde Marketing employees whose most common form of transportation is riding a bus

Solution:

From the bar Graph :

Driving  = 19

Riding bus = 16

Walk = 11

other = 4

Total = 19 + 16 + 11 + 4  = 50

50 people surveyed

16 riding bus

probability of riding bus = 16/50 = 8/25

Total employee = 275

most reasonable estimate for the  number of Clyde Marketing employees whose most common form of transportation is riding a bus = (8/25) * 275

= 8 * 11

= 88

most reasonable estimate for   riding a bus = 88
