A group of students investigated the reaction between marble chips ( calcium carbonate ) and dilute hydrochloric acid.
The equation for the reaction is:
They wanted to find the effect of changing the concentration of hydrochloric acid on the rate of the reaction. They all measured the time to collect 100 cm3 of Carbon dioxide gas and calculated the rate of each reaction.
