Answer:

Hey!!

When cell division occurs in the meristematic tissues especially epical meristem of plants, the plant moves upward as it grows. This movement is growth dependent movement. But when we touch the leaves of a sensitive plants like ‘touch me not’ the plant folds its leaves and droops. This movement of the leaves and stems are totally because of the external stimulus ‘touch’. This type of movement in plants is growth independent movement.

HOPE IT HELPS!!!!
