the force which acted on a body is perpendicular is called trust and the force acting on a unit area is called pressure the object float or sink when placed on the surface of water when object density is more than water then it sink and when the density of object is less than water than it float and the upthrust force is buoyancy

A- trust is a force that act perpendicular direction to the surface but pressure is thrust per unit area
B- object float or sink when placed on the surface of water is due to their density due to their density if the density of the object is less then it will float if density of the object is more then it will sink
C- buoyancy is the upthrust force that any object face in water
hope it will help you
