a gulab jamun , contains sugar syrup upto about 30% of its volume .
1). find approximately how much syrup would be found in 45 gulab jamuns , each shaped like a cylinder with two hemispherical ends with length 5 cm and diameter 2.8cm .

(i) Required volume of sugar syrup = 30% of 45*Volume of one Gulab Jamun

= 30/100 * 45 * 4/3TTr3

= 3/10 * 45 * 4/3*22/7*1.4*1.4*1.4

= 155.232 cm3

(ii) Surface area of one Gulab Jamun = 4TTr2

= 4*22/7*1.4*1.4

= 24.64 cm2
