- v = Velocity
➙ p = m × v
➙ p = 0.01 × 100
➙ p = 1 kg.m/s
- Momentum of bullet is 1kg.m/s.
After substituting values,
➙ Momentum (bullet) = Momentum (Gun)
➙ m × v = m × v
➙ 0.01 × 100 = 0.5 × v
➙ 1/0.5 = v
➙ v = 2 m/s
- Velocity of Gun is 2 m/s.
❖Momentum of Gun;
➙ p = m × v
➙ p = 0.5 × 2
➙ p = 1 kg.m/s
