draw a right angled triangle ABC such that
<B =90
Length=AC=24cm
height=BC=18cm
distance between foot of the pole to end of the wire= AB
using Phythagoras theorem
AB^2+BC^2=AC^2
AB^2= AC^2-BC^2
= (24)^2-(18)^2
=(24+18)(24-18)
=42*6
=7*(6*6)
AB = 6*root7cm
