Answer:

The number of tiles required in flooring is 1176  .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

Let The number of tiles required = n tiles

The length of the hall = L = 28 meters

The width of the hall = B = 10.5 meters

Area of the rectangular hall = Length × width

i.e Area of hall = L × B

Or, Area of hall = 28 m × 10.5 m

Area of hall = 294 m²

Again

square tiles are used for flooring the room

The each length of square tiles = l = 0.5 meters

Area of square tiles = side × side

Or, Area of tiles = l × l

Or, area of tiles = 0.5 m × 0.5 m

Area of tiles = 0.25 m²

Now

The number of tiles required = \dfrac{Area of hall}{Area of tiles}

i.e n = \dfrac{294}{0.25}

Or, n = 1176

So, The number of tiles required = n = 1176

Hence, The number of tiles required in flooring is 1176  . Answer

=1176 tiles

Step-by-step explanation:

given, dimension of hall length=28 meter,breadth=10.5 meter and tiles are in square in shape whose side is =.5 meter

area of hall=l\times b

                   =28\times 10.5

                   =294m^{2}

area of tile   =.5\times 5

                   =.25 m^{2}

let   n,   number of tiles be  used in for flooring the hall

n\times area of tiles=area of hall

                n\times .25=294

                       n=294/.25

                          =1176
