length of the hall=14m
breadth of the hall=12m
therefore area of the hall=length×breadth
=14m×12m=168m^2
1m=100cm
1m^2=10000cm^2
168m^2=1680000cm^2
length of marble slab=8cm
breadth of marble slab=6cm
therefore area of the marble slab=length× breadth
=8cm×6cm=48cm^2
Therefore no. of marble slabs required=
larger area (area of hall)÷smaller area (area of marble slabs)=1680000÷48=35000

area of hall=14×12=168
area of marble slab=0.08×0.06=0.0048
so the no. of marble slab=168/0.0048
=35000
