Area of the floor for carpeting is
(10 - 2 \times 0.5) \times (8 - 2 \times 0.5) \\ 9 \times 7 = 63 \:  {m}^{2}
Given, cost of 1 × 0.25 = 0.25 m2 area carpet is Rs. 20
Therefore cost of carpeting room is
 \frac{20}{0.25}  \times 63 = rs. \:  \: 5040 \\
