A hall is 15 m long and 12 m broad. If the sum of the areas of the floor and the ceiling is equal to the sum of the areas of four walls. Find the height of the hall.

area of floor = 15 × 12 = 180m²

sum of area of floor and ceiling = 180 + 180 =360m²

let the height be h

sum of areas of 4 wall = 2 ( h × 15 ) +2 ( h×12)

=30h+24h

=54h

54h=360

h = 360÷54|

h=6.666....
