A hall is 15 m long and 12 m broad. If the sum of the areas of the floor and the ceiling is equal to the sum of the areas of four walls, the volume of the hall is:

Answer: is 1200 m^3

Solution ;

Area of floar and ceiling= area of 4 walls

2×(L×B) =2(h×L) +2(h×B)

Or

(L×B) =(h×L) +(h×B)

15×12=(h×15) +(h×12)

180=27h

h=180/27

=20/3


So Volume ;

V=L×B×h

=15×12×20/3

=1200 m^3
