A hall is 37.5 long and 11.2 m wide. Its floor is to be covered with rectangular tiles of size
15 cm by 7cm. Find the cost of tiling the hall at the rate of Rs 1.25 per tile.

The area of hall = L×B

= 37.5×11.2 m² = 420 m²

Area of 1 tile = 0.15×0.07 m² = 0.0105 m²

Total Tiles = Area of hall / Area of 1 tile

= 420/0.0105 = 40000

Cost of 1 tile = 1.25Rs

Cost of 40000 tiles = 40000×1.25 = 50000Rs
