Floor in rectangular figure

area

=length × breadth

= 9.68 m × 6.2 m

= 60.016 square meter

area of one tile

=l × b

= 22cm × 10cm

=220 square centimeter

= 220/100 meter

=2.2m

total tiles require

=60.016/2.2

=27.28

TOTAL cost

=27.28×2.50

=68.2 rupees

AnswEr :

◑ Dimensions of Hall :

  • Length ( L ) = 37.5 m = 3750 cm
  • Breadth ( B ) = 11.2 m = 1120 cm

◑ Dimensions of Tile :

  • Length ( l ) = 15 cm
  • Breadth ( b ) = 7 cm

We will calculate No. of Tiles Now :

⇒ No. of Tiles × Area of Tile = Area of Hall

⇒ No. of Tiles × ( l × b ) = ( L × B )

⇒ No. of Tiles × ( 15 × 7 ) = ( 3750 × 1120 )

⇒ No. of Tiles × 105 cm² = 42,00,000 cm²

⇒ No. of Tiles = 42,00,000 cm² /105 cm²

No. of Tiles = 40,000

We will Calculate Cost of Tiling Now :

⇝ Cost = No. of Tiles × Rate

⇝ Cost = 40,000 × Rs 1.25

⇝ Cost = 40,000 × 125 /100

⇝ Cost = 400 × 125

Cost = Rs. 50,000

Total Cost of Tiling is [ B.] Rs. 50,000
