A hall is 45 m long, 30 m broad and 16 m high. It has 5 doors, each
measuring 4 m by 3.5 m and four windows 2.5 m by 1.6 m each. Find the

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Dimensions of hall= (45, 30 , 16) m

Dimensions of Door= 4, 3.5 m

Dimensions of window = 2.5 , 1.6 m

No. of doors= 5

No. of windows = 4

Now,

We need to find CSA of room as we have cover only its walls that means not ceilings and floor.

CSA of rectangle(room)= 2h(l+b)

=2×16(45+30)

=32(75)

= 2400m^2

Now we need to subtract the area of doors and windows.

Area of rectangular door= lb

= 4×3.5

= 14.0m^2

There are 5 doors

So, area of 5 doors= 5×14

= 70m^2

Similarly Area of window= lb

=2.5×1.6

=4m^2

Again there are 4 Windows

So , 4x4

16m^2

We need to subtract the area of doors and windows from tge area of room

=2400-70-16

=2400-86

=2314m^2

Cost of papering its walls= 20rupees/m^2

=20× 2314 m^2

= 46,280 rupees
