The number of slaves required to cover the floor is 504 and if each slab cost rupees 4, then the cost of the slabs is  Rs. 2016.

Step-by-step explanation:

The dimension of the floor of the hall:

Length, l = 7.2 m

Width, w = 6.3 m

The area of the floor of the hall = l × b = 7.2 × 6.3 = 45.36 m²

The dimension of each square slab:

Side = 30 cm = 0.3 m

Area of each square slab = side² = 0.3² = 0.09 m²

 Therefore,

The no. of slabs required to cover the floor of the hall is,

= [Area of the floor of the hall ] / [Area of each square slab]

= 45.36 / 0.09

= 504

Now,

The cost of each slab is given as Rs. 4

The cost of 504 slabs will be = Rs. 4 × 504 = Rs. 2016
