A hall room is 18.5 m long and 16 m broad. Floor is to be paved with squares tile of 25 cm edge. Find the number of tiles and also find the cost of tiles at the rate of ₹ 24per tile

First convert m to cm

Length would be 1850 cm and breadth would be 1600 cm

Along the length $\frac{1850}{25}$ = 74 tiles can fit

Along the breadth $\frac{1600}{25}$ = 64 tiles can fit

Total tiles = 74 * 64 = 4736

Cost of the tile @Rs 24 per tile = 4736 * 24 = 1,13,664
