Pressure=Force/Area

For nail A

Force=1.5N

Area=2×1000=2000m2

Pressure=1.5/2000=0.00075Pascal

For nail B

Force=1.5N

Area=6×1000=6000m2

Pressure=1.5/6000=0.00025Pascal

Step-by-step explanation:

pressure=Force/area

for nail 1

P1=F/A1

p = 1.5 \div 2 \times 10 {}^{ - 4}

p = 7.5 \times  {10}^{3} pa

for nail 2

p = 1.5  \div 6 \times 10 {}^{ - 4 }  \\ p = 2.5 \times  {10}^{ 3} pa
