impluse=m(v−u)=1×(0−6)

=>−6ms1

(ii)

a retarding force that stops a hammer

i.e.,

f \:  =  \frac{impulse \: }{time}  =  \frac{ - 6}{0.1}

 =  > 60 \: n \:

iii)

retarding of the hammer

a \:  =  \frac{f}{m}  =  \frac{60}{1}  =  \: 60 \: ms \:  - 2
