Heya,

Friend,

D = 24 m
r = 12 m
h = 3.5 m

l = √h² + r²
√(3.5)² + ( 12 )²
√12.5 + 144
l = √156.25
= 12.5 m

Volume = 1/3 πr²h
= 1/3 × 22/7 ×12 ×12 ×3.5
= 22 × 12 × 4 × .5
V = 528 m²

CSA = πrl
= 22 / 7 × 12 × 12.5
CSA. = 33 /7 = 471.43 m²

Hope this will help you!!

Given:

Diameter = 24 m

Height = 3.5 m

To find:

Volume

Cloth required to cover

Solution:

Volume = 1 / 3 * π * ( radius )^2 * height

Here,

Radius = diameter / 2

Radius = 12 m

Substituting,

1 / 3 * 3.14 * ( 12 )^2 * 3.5

Volume = 528 cu.m

The cloth required to cover = π * radius * length

To find length,

Length = √ ( height )^2 + ( radius )^2

Substituting,

√ ( 3.5 )^2 + ( 12 )^2

Hence,

Length = 12.5 m

3.14 * 12 * 12.5

The cloth required = 471.4 sq.m
