Hi.
Acc. to question,
dimeter of the cone = 24 m
therefore, radius of the cone [r] = 12 m
height [h] of the cone = 3.5 m
Volume of the cone or heap = 1/3 π r× r × h
                                             = 1/3 × 22/7 × 12 × 12 × 3.5
                                             = 528 cubic meter.
Volume of the rice = Volume of the cone or heap
                               = 528 cubic meter.
slant height [L] =12.5 [ after the calculation from Pythagoras Theorm]
         L  square = r square + h square
           L  square  = 144 + 12.25
                       L  =12.5
Curved Surface Area of the heap [CONE] = πrl
                                                                    =22/7× 12 × 12.5
                                                                    =3300/7
                                                                 = or[
471.4286]
Now, area of canvas = Curved Surface Area of the heap or cone

 = 3300/7 square meter.

= or[471.4286]
