A heap of wheat is in the form of a cone whose diameter is 10.5 m and height is 3 m
Find it volume. If 1m³ wheat cost is 10, then find total cost.
Answers
According to statment of question,
heap of wheat cost 8.43.
Given :
- Diameter of Cone = 10.5m
- Height of Cone (h) = 3m
- Cost of 1m³ of wheat = Rs 10
To Find :
- Volume of cone
- Total Cost of Wheat.
Solution :
✰ As we know that, Volume of cone is given by ⅓ πr²h . So Firstly we will find the Radius of the cone and then we will find the volume of the cone. We also know that Diameter is Double of Radius so we will divide the diameter by 2 to get the radius. After getting the Volume of cone we will Multiple it by 10 to find the total cost of wheat.
⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀Diameter = 2 × Radius
⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀10.5 = 2 × Radius
⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀10.5 / 2 = Radius
⠀⠀⠀⟼⠀⠀⠀5.25m = Radius
⠀
Now,
⟼⠀Volume of Cone = ⅓πr²h
⟼⠀Volume = ⅓ × 22/7 × (5.25)² × 3
⟼⠀Volume = ⅓ × 22/7 × 5.25 × 5.25 × 3
⟼⠀Volume = 22/21 × 5.25 × 5.25 × 3
⟼⠀Volume = 22/21 × 275625/10000 × 3
⟼⠀Volume = 22/21 × 27.5625 × 3
⟼⠀Volume = 22/21 × 82.6875
⟼⠀Volume = 22 × 82.6875/21
⟼⠀Volume = 1,819.125/21
⟼⠀Volume = 86.625m³
⠀
And,
⟹ Cost of 1m³ of Wheat = ₹ 10
⟹ Cost of 86.625m³ = ₹ 10 × 86.625
⟹ Cost of 86.625m³ = ₹ 866.25
⠀
Thus Volume of Cone is 86.625m³ and Total Cost of Wheat is ₹ 866.25
