the question is very straightforward. They gave us R and V and they want us to find P. We can find it using this formula P=V^2/R = (120)^2/10 = 1440W

and to find out thermal energy we use this formula E=V^2/R multiplied by t, and we can substitute this part of the formula (V^2/R) by the previous answer 1440 since it equals to it. We will get the answer 14400J
