A heavier body and a lighter body both are allowed
to fall freely from a same height. Both have started
their journey at the same moment. If both take equal
time to reach the ground, which one of them will
acquire higher velocity before reaching the ground?

Answer:

Their Velocity would be same as they have reached at the same time!

I Guess this is correct!

Explanation:

When a heavy body and a lighter body taken at a height and dropped at t=0 then it happens that everyone expects the heavier body to fall at a faster rate due to its mass(weight is mass times acceleration due to gravity). But in a freely falling state the body has only acceleration and nothing else and irrespective of what the masses are all the bodies fall at the same speed.

Now if you consider a paper, feather or any other lighter material, it happens that due to its light weight air resistance affects it at a greater extent than to a solid body. Actually air resistance is neglected during a free fall (to make calculations easier)but it is present and acts neglegibly on a solid body.
