h(t)=g/2t²+vt+c
When the package reaches the ground, h(t)=0. So:
0=-4.9t²+12t+80
4.9t²-12t-80=0
using the quadratic formula gives us a positive value for t of 5.446563 seconds before the package reaches the ground…..
