or, t^2 = 100 s (approx.)

Thus, the time required will be approximately 10 s.

acceleration = gravitation = 10 for simplification purpose

freely falling body formula:

h=1/2 gt(t)

500 = 1/2(10)(t)(t)

500/5= t( t)

100= t squared

10=t

so time taken by helecopter is 10s.
