Total surface area of hemisphere =

3\pi \ \: r ^{2}

=3×22/7×(a/2)×(a/2)

=3×22/7×a^2/4

Total surface of cube=4a^2

Total remaining surface area = Area of cube - Area of hemisphere

=(4a^2)-(66a^2)

=9a^2/7
