Inner radius = 4 cm

Formula of volume of hemisphere = \frac{2}{3} \pi r^{3}

So, volume of inner hemisphere =  \frac{2}{3} \times 3.14 \times 4^{3}

                                                 =  133.97 cm^3  

Now A hemispherical bowl is made of steel 0.25cm thick

So, the outer radius = 4+0.25=4.25 cm

So, volume of outer hemisphere =  \frac{2}{3} \times 3.14 \times 4.25^{3}

                                                      =  160.69 cm^3  

Thus the volume of steel used = Outer volume - Inner volume

                                                     =  160.69 -133.97  

                                                      =   26.72 cm^3  

Hence  the volume of steel used is   26.72 cm^3
