A hemispherical bowl is made up of brass, 0.25 m thicknes. The inner radius of the bowl is 5 cm. Find the ratio of the outer surface area to the inner surface area

Inner Radius = r =5cm

Outer Radius =R = 5+0.25 = 5.25 cm


Ratio of outer surface area to inner surface area

= 2πR^2/2πr^2
= R^2/r^2
= (5.25/5)^2
= 27.5625/25
= 275625/250000
= 441/400

= 441 : 400
