Step-by-step explanation:

volume of hemispherical tank = 2/3πr³

V = 2/3 × 22/7 × 3 ³

V = 2/3 × 22/7 × 27

V = 396/7 m³

Volume emptied per second = 15/2 litres

to find time taken to half empty the tank

half volume of the tank = 396/7 × 1/2 => 198/7 m³

=> 198/7 × 1000 litres [ 1 m³ = 1000 litres]

time t = 198000/7 ÷ 15/2

t = 198000/7 × 2/15

t = 3771.4 seconds => 1.05 hours
