A hemispherical vessel of outer radius 3 m and thickness 0.50 m is to be plated. It the rate
of plating is Rs. 22 per sq.m, then find the total amount required for plating inner surface of
vessel. [Take =3.14)

Outer radius of hemisphere is 3 m

Thickness is 0.5 m

Then inner radius is 2.5 m

Inner surface area = 2πr² = 2 × 3.14 × (2.5)²

= 6.25 × 6.28 = 39.25 m²

Rs 22 per m²

So total cost = 22 × 39.25 = ₹ 863.5
