Since each cow gives one third of total milk each day there should be 3 cows in the Herd giving 4/3 litres of milk each day by each Cow. Therefore 1 cow gives 4/3 litres of milk each day and therefore 3 cows give 4 litres of milk each day.

Answer:

Each cow gives 4/3 litre . If n is the number of cows ,

4n/ 3 = 4 litre.

4n = 12 litre

n = 3

no. of cows = 3
