A herd of cows gives 4 litresof milk each day.but each cow gives one- third of total milk each day.they give 24 litres milk in six days.how many cows are there in the herd?

Amount of milk each cow gives=1/3 of total

=1/3 of 4l

=4/3l

Amount of mil each cow gives in 6 days= 4/3 × 6

=8l

No.of cows in the heard=8l ÷ 24l

=3
